Hotel Costaustralis

Location was excellent - just a few blocks away from restaurants and cafes. Being on the waterfront had the most spectacular views from our bedrooms and the lobby. Breakfast offered a wide selection of breads, cheese, cold cuts, eggs and fruit. There was a counter making omlettes and fried eggs. They allowed us to pack some breakfast before leaving the hotel at 5.45am for Torres del Paine but had no packaging! Would be useful to keep this for guests that require a packed breakfast. We were able to stay at breakfast until 11am, this was nice and long! There was a lovely lounge near the lobby area - my family and I spent some time there on Christmas day opening presents and watching photos of our trip connecting to the TV in the lounge. It felt like being at home!

The location - the style - elegant - warm - beautiful view

Lovely location on the lake front. Our corner room had fantastic views ranging over approx 240 degrees. Breakfast was excellent, you could see the impact of Covid with everything offered in single person portions which is probably one of the few ongoing benefits from that time. We visited in Winter and hotel was lovely and warm. Staff were very friendly and we made use of the luggage store on the day we departed, most useful.

The location is very near the town square. So, you can walk to a lot of things. The town has a very comfortable and safe feeling. The room was very clean and we loved the ocean view. The bar was very good. The breakfast included in the room charge was great. The hotel is a great place to start an exploration of Torres del Paine are of Patagonia.

Loved the view across the street of the waterway with mountains in the distance. The bed was very comfortable. Also loved the quaint town. Even though it was touristy, it was a upscale kind of touristy: lots of good restaurants and shops
